Boost team morale and make a difference: Volunteer with The Big Help Out today

The Big Help Out is a nationwide campaign that each year helps organisations and millions of individual people to volunteer.

The Big Help Out started in 2023 as part of the King’s Coronation plans, the campaign aims to make volunteering a permanent fixture in the UK’s calendar.

Zellar is encouraging our members to get involved this year to build and inspire your employee teams, support a good cause and potentially boost your Zellar score with additional points.

Most volunteering activity takes place in June but the campaign encourages companies to take part anytime throughout the summer months.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Who to volunteer with?  You can sign up to Zellar to find a variety of charities meet your organisations needs. If you can’t find anything suitable, Zellar’s volunteering team can help point you in the direction of other host charities. Contact our Head of Volunteering, Kate Coombs at Kate@zellar.com for more information.

Alternatively The Big Help Out app and website also shows charities participating in the campaign.

When? Decide on a suitable date for you and your colleagues to volunteer and check whether the host charity can accommodate this.

Are there costs?  Some charities do charge an amount to host volunteers. This covers their administrative, insurance and personnel resources so check whether this applies to the charity you’d like to volunteer for.

Tell your customers about it. If you’ve signed up to Zellar, add your volunteering hours and project details to your Zellar profile.

And finally….

Enjoy taking part! We’d love to hear about what your teams have done. You can show and tell us on our community hub.

Join Zellar today to get started.
