Zellar are committed to ensuring that any business undertakings are conducted as ethically and professionally as possible and we strive to ensure that all our activities have a positive impact on society as a whole.

We aim to meet and exceed any relevant legislation, and if legislation does not exist in a particular area, then we commit to carry out best practice. To help us achieve this we commit to following the below principles.

Who we are and what we do

Zellar Is the world's first Sustainability-as -a-Service' platform, enabling businesses to measure, manage and amplify its sustainability journey in one place. We make climate action practical, affordable and accessible to small business owners, accelerating them towards to net zero.

The target is important, but how we get there more so. A successful net zero strategy is fuelled by data and requires an understanding and balancing of behavioural change, investments and local offsetting. These transformational journeys will be amplified to audiences helping them find, support and share these successes.

Looking after Employees

It is vital to Zellar to look after its employees and to maintain a good working environment. To help us achieve this we commit to the following:

  • support diversity and inclusion with policies outlining our expectations and behaviours (including Anti-Harassment, Equal Opportunities, Diversity & Inclusion, Modern Slavery Statement)

  • ensure that our activities do not directly or indirectly violate human rights in any country

  • ensure we don’t risk the health and safety of our employees and community and carry out regular Health & Safety Risk Assessments

  • communicate regularly with our employees on a one-to-one basis providing guidance and personal development

  • meet as a whole company once a week to share updates, insights and foster team spirit and inclusion

  • have trained Mental Health Champions supporting our people and eradicating stigma

  • pay regularly, on time and consistently exceed the living wage across the Company

  • have benefits supporting health & wellbeing with Health Plans, Life Insurance and an EAP

  • support work-life balance for all our staff with home and hybrid working

  • have informal and formal grievance procedures and all staff have full access to HR support

Looking after Customers

Zellar is passionate about taking action to create a better future for our planet and its people. We create and foster a culture of customer first. Our platform provides an excellent customer centric approach in all aspects of our interactions. We offer built in customer help and real time communications links in our products and direct phone numbers to our various teams. Our opening times are clearly marked online and we endeavour to keep our information up-to-date. We also have Google My Business, where our customers can offer feedback and reviews on our services which we keep under regular review and commit to addressing any issues.

By ensuring customers are a priority we encourage positive and respectful relationships.

Suppliers’ Standards

We are committed to working with suppliers who ensure proper practise, our suppliers must sign our precedent agreement upon working with Zellar, this agreement includes operating in line with the Bribery Act 2010. In addition we actively seek to improve our knowledge on our suppliers' CSR policies.

We currently work with a minimal supply chain which also reduces our risk of Modern Slavery however we are aware of the potential risks and for this reason have a Modern Slavery Statement.

Protecting the Environment

Zellar is on its own sustainability journey, as are our customers, therefore we have also put ourselves on the Zellar platform so we can measure and manage our own emissions, work towards reducing them and accelerate our journey to becoming a net zero business.

By supporting home working we are reducing our carbon footprint and saving on fuel, in addition we offer a cycle to work scheme. Our office, when used, is provided by WeWork, who have committed to becoming a carbon neutral business by 2023 and have removed single use plastic from their buildings since 2018.

Community Engagement

Zellar Is exploring volunteering opportunities so our employees can support projects which benefit the environment and local communities.

As a company we are a community-orientated business, our work helps communities to have a positive impact on the environment. In addition we help to connect people together and create communities by amplifying our view that we should work together to achieve sustainability and to further support we host community webinars.

Measurement

Zellar's Board of Directors meets once a month to review the business Including ethics and standards.
In addition, we review our CSR policy on an ongoing basis. It Is a working document in which we monitor and assess whether the CSR measures are working effectively.
