Somerset Council Partners with Zellar to Empower Public Services Towards Sustainability
Somerset Council has taken a significant step towards a more sustainable future by investing in Get Zero Get Zellar, a nationwide initiative designed to empower local councils in driving and measuring their progress towards net zero.
The Council has invested in 30 Zellar licences, which will be distributed to partner organisations such as Yeovil Town Council, schools belonging to the Oak Partner Trust, and GP surgeries within the region to help to support their decarbonisation journey. Because Zellar captures all of that site level data it enables Somerset County Council to measure and track the progress of each partner organisation and the programme as whole.

Zellar's digital sustainability coaching platform empowers organisations to measure, track, and reduce their carbon emissions, enabling them to develop tailored decarbonisation plans and achieve significant cost savings. By providing access to Zellar, the Council is equipping these public services with the tools they need to become more sustainable and resilient. Zellar will also aggregate all that data to provides the council with a valuable reporting framework that enables them to track progress.
