About Crystal Doors

Crystal Doors in Rochdale manufactures bespoke vinyl wrapped doors and accessories for kitchen, bedroom and bathroom retailers and holds the UK’s widest choice of designs, foils and materials. Founded by Richard Hagan, 24 years ago, Crystal Doors has been granted multiple awards such as the Winner of the Queen’s Award for Entreprise for Sustainable Development in 2021. Crystal Doors believe those with the ability to lead the way must do so. Their future viability as a business, and as a society, depends on three pillars: people, profit and planet.


In 2020 they declared a climate emergency and committed themselves to a radical plan to reach Net Zero by 2022. That’s a full 28 years ahead of the UK’s national target, and 18 years ahead of Greater Manchester’s target as a city region. They’re setting out to prove that even the smallest company can make an incredible contribution to environmental issues.

The biggest challenge to becoming sustainable is to start your journey, and this is where Zellar is really putting all of their effort into. It’s about changing your understanding of your life today and the impacts to do with the environment, it’s about changing that mindset. Once you have started you realise that there is a whole new world out there that’s just as exciting, even more exciting!
